Cogent Labs Certified as J-Startup Company Lead by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

Cogent Labs Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Directors: Jun Iinuma, Eric Whiteway, hereinafter “Cogent Labs”) has been certified as a J-Startup Company under a program for supporting startup companies in Japan spearheaded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

J-Startup is a program for companies to be certified as a J-Startup Company, selecting from more than 10,000 startups. Selection is made through recommendations by top venture capitalists, accelerators and innovation personnel at large companies, followed by thorough checks by an independent review committee. The executive office for the J-Startup program is concentrated in non-governmental support agencies, NEDO, JETRO, and METI. The program connects J-Startup Companies with supporters and government agencies and provides timely and speedy support. For startup companies expanding overseas, the program also makes available information regarding local areas and provides mentoring supports as well as support for community building in local areas.J-Startup
